Hard to claim and unnecessary stress
This company makes the claim process as complicated as possible and attempt not to honour the conditions of their policy. They ignore their own rules where you need to be already in receipt of JSA and the plainly stated redundancy date on the employers’ letter and form they themselves have asked for. Not to mention that you have to make a phone call to request the claims form instead of it being available online and then every month you have to submit sensitive documents again. I was denied payment for the first month of my redundancy over the holiday season when it was most needed despite the policy clearly stating payment back to day one. A complaint takes a week to respond to then another 14 working days to process just to get to the Ombudsman stage, which I fully intend to do despite their delay tactics. Would I recommend Trent? No, most certainly not as they will avoid paying in any way possible when you are at your lowest and have relied on them in your hour of need.
